Vice President of Engineering
Responsibilities:
This key management position will oversee product development, quality assurance, and user documentation, as well as conceptualization of new product line offerings for Trapezo technologies. Primary management responsibilities include facilitating, organizing and directing the technical resources within Trapezo to meet and exceed expectations for planned growth.
Experience:
Previous experience as a VP of engineering or equivalent at a public company or successful Internet start-up is desired. Strong director-level experience at a large technology firm will be considered. Thorough understanding and knowledge of web based applications architecture and previous experience with the ASP business model is a plus. Knowledge of Client/Server and web technologies such as Java servlets, Java Beans, RMI, CORBA, JSP, XML and SQL, and knowledge of application servers such as WebLogic, Tibco, and Dynamo, as well as an understanding of design and development methodologies and complex databases, especially Oracle 8i.
In addition, the position requires a comprehensive understanding of business process analysis, requirement definition and budgeting. The candidate must have a proven track record in designing, developing and implementing leading edge software on time and within budget.

A strong work ethic and high level of intelligence, creativity, and vision, as well as the ability to exceed expectations in an aggressive, fast paced environment. The position requires a confident leader and effective manager with strong product development and engineering skills. A person who has proven they can lead by example, and enjoys building teams and developing employee skills. Superior skills in the areas of planning, scheduling, project management, and documentation will be needed as well as the proven ability to manage multiple programming teams, sub-contractors, vendors, and offshore development teams.
