Heidi Roizen, Principal Managing Director, Softbank Venture Capital Heidi Roizen is a principal managing director for SOFTBANK Venture Capital. She joined the fund in April 1999. Prior to joining SOFTBANK Venture Capital, Ms. Roizen was a consultant to numerous technology companies, including Microsoft, Intel and Compaq. From 1996 to 1997, she was vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations for Apple Computer. Before joining Apple Computer, Ms. Roizen served for 13 years as CEO of T/Maker Company, a successful software developer and publisher. Ms. Roizen serves as a director of Great Plains (NASDAQ: GPSI), Preview Systems (NASDAQ: PRVW), iPrint.com (NASDAQ: IPRT), Reelplay, Trapezo and DoDots, Inc. She is also an advisory board member of Time Domain Corporation, Garage.com, and is a member of the Stanford Board of Trustees Nominating Committee. Ms. Roizen has a B.A. and an M.B.A. from Stanford University.



Ryan McIntyre, Venture Partner, Softbank Venture Capital Ryan McIntyre is SOFTBANK Venture Capital's first venture partner. In March 2000, he joined the fund full-time as a Netbatsu development officer. Prior to joining SOFTBANK Venture Capital, Mr. McIntyre was co-founder of Excite, now part of Excite@Home. He was a principal engineer of the information retrieval and content management systems for Architext Software, which later became Excite for the company's April 1996 IPO. He was also a key player in the architecture and launch of Excite's community and commerce platforms. Prior to Excite, he was part of the technical staff for the Hewlett Packard Division at Oracle Corporation and Canon Research of America, the research arm of Canon.
Mr. McIntyre has a Bachelor of Science degree in Symbolic Systems with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence from Stanford University. He has studied in Berlin and Munich, Germany, and has a strong interest in music, sports and micro-brewed beer.



Steven S. Lee, Principal, Athena Technology Ventures Steven S. Lee is a Principal of Athena Technology Ventures. Previous to joining Athena, Mr. Lee worked for over 7 years in design and development roles starting at Hewlett-Packard, where he worked on advanced medical imaging hardware and software systems. He then moved on to various start-up companies including BCE and Chromatic Research, where he worked on projects ranging from multi-spectral radio telescopes to audio synthesis and DVD playback systems. He currently serves on the board of Savvio, Inc. and Trapezo. He received his BS and MS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Electrical Engineering. |
