Mission
Trapezo is a leading provider of Network Content Management solutions.
Trapezo's patent-pending technology and services empower companies
to leverage their information across their organizations and partner
networks without the costly burden of point-to-point technology implementations.
The result is that businesses gain new efficiencies revenue opportunities,
and customer satisfaction.
History
The privately held company was established in March 1999 with the
conviction that companies needed to publish dynamic information beyond
the boundaries of their own Web sites in order to grow their businesses.
Founders Thor Muller and Satyen V. Kothari, both from renowned Internet
design & development firm Frogdesign, had witnessed in their clients
the widespread desire to distribute up-to-date, relevant content to
business partners, affiliated properties, and internal divisions.
The lack of viable solutions for automating this need was the genesis
of Trapezo, and the team set out to build a streamlined solution that
would scale to the most demanding of businesses. By October 2000,
Softbank Venture Capital, Athena Technology Ventures, and numerous
Silicon Valley angel investors had also seen the vision, contributing
over $16 million to the company. By January 2001, Trapezo was a revenue
generating company with over 40 employees and 5 offices across the
US.
